This is exciting, Craig. I’ve just downloaded MyStudyBar, and I’m looking forward to taking it for a ‘test drive’. I very much appreciate your assertion that it will be beneficial to all learners. I agree; and I believe these tools should therefore be introduced to all learners. I intend to do my part in my own corner of the world (Vancouver Island) –Paul
Hi Paul
Thanks for your kind comments and support. LetMeType can be a bit tricky to set up initially but thereafter it works a treat but please let me know if you have any difficulties or issues. Hopefully the tutorials will prove to be useful.

Craig
Hi Craig
I did have one small problem and that is when I try to run the mind map I get an error message that tells me Windows can’t find the xmind.exe
MyStudyBar is really good and I am looking forward to showing it to lots of other people! I took your advice above and watched the very helpful tutorials and now know how LetMeType works
Thank you again!
Helen
Hi Helen
I’ve sent you a new xmind folder – it probably became corrupt during the download/unzip process.

I am having a great deal of difficulty getting the mystudy bar to work. I downloaded it and when I went to launch it opened as a flash image. When the mouse hovered it looked as though there was a link but would not work. When right clicking on the different buttons it said flash… and settings as unclickable. I am trying to download to desktop. When I closed window it vanished from computer completely.
Hi, I am excited about ‘my study bar’ and intend to encourage its use in my world of dyslexic students and adults. I have downloaded same to ‘vista’ but I am having trouble with the tutorials, the page just will not load. Do you know if the Tutorials can be loaded from anywhere else other than the ‘RSC’ site.
Hi
Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the tutorial page – if you go to: http://www.rsc-ne-scotland.ac.uk/eduapps/mystudybar.php#tutorials this link should work

Hi Craig,
What a great suite of programs! I do have some questions, however, as my computer tends to freeze up when running some of them. What are the computer requirements to run these programs efficiently?
Also, I see there is a verson 2 available, but I haven’t found it to download. Where can it be downloaded at?
And, the Lingoes dictionary tends to be too advanced for the student I’m working with. Are there more simplistic dictionaries available? (More suited to younger children.)
Thank you for your great work, and making these programs available to everyone!
