e-Assessment Scotland 2010: Marking the Decade - University of Dundee, 3rd September

Last year, Scotland’s largest annual e-Assessment conference brought together speakers from schools, colleges and universities to showcase innovation and best practice in the field. This year, the conference is moving to a larger venue and broadening its scope to examine how technology can be used to enhance the use of assessment in education, training and the workplace.

Keynotes from the leading names in e-Assessment, seminars covering the latest advances and case studies, practical hands-on sessions, plus the second year of the Scottish e-Assessment Awards – all these combine to make this the one event that you can’t afford to miss.

Through the contributions of the organising partners and commercial sponsors, attendance at this one-day cross-sector conference is, once again, be free to delegates. Although the event is now full, we are still accepting bookings, with those registering being placed on a waiting list. We’ll inform you as soon as a place becomes available.

Submissions for presentations and workshops have now closed, though we have extended the Call for Posters to August 20th - this is the final date that we can accept poster designs (our printer’s deadline)see more details below. Details of the final programme are now available on the next page.

(Extended!) Call for Posters

megaphone_callHaving received a tremendous response to our call for presentations and workshops (thank you to all who submitted!), we have taken the decision to extend the call for submission of proposals for posters (New deadline: August 20th), which will be entered into a public vote competition on the day, with an award being presented on the day to the most popular entry.

For poster submissions, we offer the following themes:

  • How e-Assessment has been successfully implemented within my institution
  • Perspectives from the front line - staff and candidates speak out
  • Emerging trends, techniques and tensions connected with e-Assessment

Submissions will be accepted for:

  • Posters (A2)*

* The printing of posters will be handled by us; all we need is an electronic copy of the content

We had been asking for people to submit a proposal before sending us the final poster design, but as we have a final (printer’s) deadline of August 20th, we are asking you to send an electronic copy of your final poster design to postbox@e-assessment-scotland.org. If you have any questions about the suitability of your poster, please send an email to the same address with a contact number and we’ll call you back as soon as we can.
