I was demonstrating a web page through a data projector earlier this week. The text on the website was too small to see so I used a keyboard shortcut to quickly make the text bigger. Someone in the class asked how I did that so here’s a quick summary of how to change the size of your text in web browsers.

1. If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, hold down the control (Ctrl) key on keyboard and move the scroll wheel forward to increase the text size or back to reduce it or…

2. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and press the “+” or “-” keys to increase or reduce the text size or…

3. In some versions of Internet Explorer Ctrl + “+” or “-” doesn’t always work. An alternative is to hold down the Alt key and press the letter V, then press X, you can now use the up and down arrow keys to select the text size and press your return key.
